Whether you're buying or selling a used motorcycle, properly transferring ownership at the excise office protects both parties — the buyer gets a bike legally registered in their name, and the seller is no longer liable for any future traffic violations or legal issues involving the vehicle.
Here's what you'll generally need to have ready:
From the seller: Original CNIC, original vehicle registration book/file, and a signed transfer application (Form F in most cases, provided by the excise office).
From the buyer: Original CNIC and two passport-size photographs.
The vehicle itself usually needs to be physically present for verification of the engine and chassis numbers against the registration book.
Token tax should be paid up to date before a transfer will be processed — any outstanding amount will need to be cleared first.
The process can take anywhere from same-day to a few days depending on the excise office's workload. If this all sounds like a lot to manage yourself, that's exactly why we offer bike transfer as one of our core services — bring both parties and the required documents to our office at Adda Pipli, Vehari, and we'll handle the rest.
