Jahangir Motors ("we", "us", "our") operates this website to help customers browse, buy, sell and finance motorcycles, and to access related services such as registration, transfer and token tax support. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We collect information that you choose to give us directly, such as when you fill in the contact form, the "Sell Your Bike" form, or reach out over phone or WhatsApp. This can include:
Your password is never stored in readable form — we keep only a salted, one-way hash of it. You do not need an account to browse the website; an account is required only to post ads or reviews. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as ID card numbers through the website itself.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Messages sent through the Contact page are checked by our own server and delivered to Jahangir Motors' email through Brevo, an email-delivery service that handles the message only to deliver it to us. A copy is kept on our server for 90 days and then deleted automatically. If you list a bike for sale, the contact details you provide (such as your phone number) are shown to interested buyers so they can reach you, as is standard for a bike marketplace listing.
Marketplace listings, accounts, reviews and reports are stored directly in our own database (hosted on Cloudflare) and are not routed through any third-party form service. Your first name and the first letter of your last name are shown with any review you post.
If a user posts a fake or stolen bike, or scams a buyer or seller, we may use and share that user's information with the affected person and with the police, the FIA Cybercrime Wing, courts or other competent authorities, as described in our Terms & Conditions. We may also disclose information where required by Pakistani law.
Our website links to third-party platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and WhatsApp. If you interact with us through these platforms, your use of them is also governed by their own privacy policies.
When you log in we set a secure session cookie that keeps you logged in (for 30 days if you tick "Remember me", otherwise until you close your browser) and a small cookie that tells the page to show the "My Account" button. We also keep short-lived security records, such as a scrambled (hashed) form of your connection address, to stop spam and repeated password guessing. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.
We keep the information you share with us only for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry, complete the requested service, run your account, or as required by law. Records related to reported fraud or fake listings may be kept for longer so they can be used in legal proceedings.
You can update your name, mobile number, profile picture and password at any time from My Account, and delete your ads and review there too. To change your email or delete your account completely, contact us using the details below.
Our services are intended for adults capable of entering into a purchase, sale or financing arrangement. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
