How It Works at Jahangir Motors
- Bring the buyer, the seller, both original CNICs, the original registration book or smart card and the motorcycle to our office at Adda Pipli, Vehari.
- We check that token tax is paid and that there are no pending e-challans, because unpaid dues can stop a transfer.
- Both parties complete biometric (fingerprint) verification.
- We prepare and submit the transfer documents so the bike is registered in the buyer's name.
Transferring ownership protects both sides: the buyer becomes the legal owner, and the seller is no longer responsible for challans or anything else involving the bike. Selling or buying on an "open file" skips this protection, so we always recommend completing the transfer at the time of sale.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do both the buyer and the seller need to come for a bike transfer?
In most cases yes, because the transfer process includes biometric verification of both people. If one of you cannot come, contact us first and we will tell you what is possible.
How long does a bike transfer take?
It depends on the workload at the excise office — anywhere from the same day to a few days. We will tell you the expected time when you visit.
